The short, in documentary format, directed by Marcos Gualda and starring the singer Rocío Márquez will be one of the highlights and one of the favorites to succeed at the Akida Film Festival to be held from September 16 to 20 in Seville.
Selected from more than 3,500 short films, Senegal: a round trip, is a clear candidate to win the award in the category for best short in documentary format at the dine Akida Festival in Seville.
In its almost ten minutes of duration, the short film shows us the reality of Senegalese villages , where there are hardly any schools or access to drinking water nearby. With the narration of Rocío Márquez, who wants to know this reality up close, she seeks through social denunciation to give visibility to the International Cooperation projects , in which the Provincial Council of Huelva and the Cepaim foundation collaborate , as well as to be able to show the world the works that are being developed in Senegal .
The documentary is inspiring, emotional and hopeful . It shows us the folklore of this town and conveys the children's enthusiasm for what these projects are achieving , in addition to the fundamental role of women in society . It does all this with music accompanying us during the trip.
The Akida Film Festival has just confirmed the presence of the singer Rocío Márquez and the director Marcos Gualda in a special event that will be held on September 17 and 18 to interact with the public and present the short film in the theaters of the Avenida 5 cinemas .
